HOW ARE YOU SPENDING YOUR TIME DURING THE SHUT DOWN

I’ve been working and helping my 5th grader with his school work during the week. We have been working on an OSU puzzle, getting outside to shoot hoops, and walking the dog. I’ve started reading a couple of books; dare to lead by Brene Brown and Night Over Water by Ken Follett for a virtual book club. I’ve enjoyed staying connected to friends and family via Messenger (see attached picture with my brother).  If you enjoyed Karate Kid, you might like Cobra Kai; my husband and I have been binge watching it.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR OTHERS

Laugh often, get outside, and enjoy the down time with family. Support local restaurants for carryout if you feel comfortable; otherwise, minimize trips to do your part in flattening the curve. #washyourhandsoften

PERSONAL PHILOSPHY

My personal motto: Life is messy; you just have to roll with it. One of my favorite quotes from a book, dare to lead by Brene Brown is “You can’t get to courage without rumbling with vulnerability. Embrace the suck.”

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS DAILY ROUTINE

I miss my Gifted Gals, co-workers,  Michael’s (Michael O'Shaughnessy) socks and humor, extra computer monitors (going to have to get creative at home), and interacting with students and staff from my district contracts. Was I supposed to list only one thing?
