Shannon Cox named next MCESC Superintendent

Shannon Cox is the next Superintendent of the Montgomery County Educational Service Center.   Cox takes over officially August 1, 2019.  She replaces Frank DePalma who is retiring after twelve years as the MCESC Superintendent.

“During the 2018-19 school year, Frank and Shannon have worked together to provide a seamless transition to a new leadership team,” Daryl Michael, Jr., MCESC Board President said.

Cox will become the twelfth MCESC Superintendent and the first women to hold the post in its 105 year history. Cox has served the past two years as the MCESC Associate Superintendent.

“Our board wants to thank Frank for his work while we are excited for our new leadership team to take hold and move us forward,” Michael, Jr. said.
